About Us

Why Mind Your Monkey Psychology

Most resilience training fails into one of two categories: clinically sound but commercially tone-deaf, or business-savvy but psychologically shallow. We've spent considerable time ensuring ours delivers both.

Our approach

What makes us different

Our programme was co-designed by a highly experienced forensic psychologist and senior Australian corporate executives. Every module has been tested with real leaders in demanding environments — not focus groups or pilot surveys. The result is training that translates directly from the session room to the boardroom, the ops floor, and the daily decisions your managers face.

Clinically Grounded

Built on proven psychological science — the same evidence base used in clinical practice, translated into high-performance workplace contexts.

Commercially Pragmatic

Designed with executives who understand real business pressure. No theory for theory's sake — only what works in practice and produces measurable results.

Live & Applied

Facilitated sessions where learning happens in real time — not passively consumed. Reinforced through structured follow-up materials your people can return to again and again.

Compliance-Ready

Structured to directly address psychosocial hazard management obligations under Australian WHS legislation — with documentation to support your compliance posture.

Resilience as a career accelerator

Resilience as a Career Accelerator

For your people, the benefits of this training extend well beyond the workplace, but they show up there first. Studies have shown that resilience, when genuinely developed, is one of the most powerful drivers of career progression available to a professional at any level.

Participants who complete the programme leave with skills that distinguish them — not just as individuals who cope well under pressure, but as people who perform well because of it. Resilience is increasingly what separates professionals who plateau from those who advance.

For Individual Contributors

Faster professional growth through sharper decision-making, greater composure under pressure, and the visibility that comes from consistently delivering.

For Managers & Leaders

The tools to recognise early signs of strain in their teams, foster a genuinely supportive culture, and lead with confidence through uncertainty.

For Your Organisation

A pipeline of leaders who are ready for greater responsibility — and a culture where high performance and psychological safety reinforce each other.

The name

The story behind the name

The name is inspired by the concept of the "monkey mind" — that restless, noisy inner voice we all have. In psychology, the monkey mind represents scattered thoughts, emotional swings, and mental distraction.

Our practice helps people recognise, understand, and gently calm that internal chaos. The name reflects our relaxed yet profound approach to mental health — approachable, memorable, and grounded in real psychological insight.

Mind Your Monkey represents our philosophy: compassionate, evidence-based care that meets the mind with clarity, curiosity, and heart. We're serious about mental wellbeing, but we believe in doing it with a sense of warmth and humour. Because sometimes, tending to your mind starts with simply minding your monkey.
